biography 🦋

☾   her first memories are tainted, her mother’s arms wrapped around her, her voice soothing her as ilayda clings to her. it is just a bad dream, that’s what her mother tells her and she closes her eyes again, believing that she’d forget about it soon. ☾  however, her bad dreams don’t stop. she’s dying or is it someone else ? connected by blood and not merely a similar reflection ? gasping for air in every of her dreams. they’re nightmares. a premonition ? or memories ? it doesn’t matter, these dreams consume her, her own weakness scaring her. and somehow she’d get used to it, watching herself or her ancestor die , lliving a lie so foreign from her own. yet, the fear is always there: endangering the people around her by what it seems her own doomed fate. ☾  there’s only one solution, becoming strong enough to protect everyone she loves. she isn’t naturally talented at magic as she wishes to be but she’s willing to put effort into it. unlike her little sibling, carefree as a child is supposed to be, ilayda is spending most of her days on becoming better, only exhaustion putting her to sleep. ☾ yet, nothing could have prepared her for what would come. it weren’t efforts in vain, just lack of time meeting an inevitable fate. bright red blood appearing so misplaced in a house was supposed to be filled with her family’s warm presence. her mother’s soothing voice, fading into her last words. the wide eyes of her little sister staring at her, as if she was asking ilayda to tell her that perhaps she was trapped in one of her nightmares. ☾  but this wasn’t a dream she’d wake up from, it was a new reality perhaps even worse than any nightmare she’d ever have. so she’s running, always running away from what she believes is her fate. if she can’t save herself, she needs to protect her sister.

despite a rather cold demeanor, lyra is quite a loyal ( if her trust is gained ) and caring person. since a young age, she’s learned to be independent, yet her sheltering herself from the outside world resulted into her sometimes being a little insensitive or blunt , thus the assumption of her being standoffish.

♡  she'd lived in crestle cove before, however, after the incident she moved away, fearing that something might happen to her sister. she’d moved around quite a lot always fearing that something might happen. the slightest hint, causing her to panic and pack all her things leaving no trace. however, she returned, as she feels like that crestle cove is the only place that could offer her peace by revealing what really happened to her family.

♡ she’s fiercely protective over her sister. sometimes even a little overbearing. she even picked up the habit of staying up late, just she could make sure that her sister would fall asleep before her. hence, she’s often sleep deprived.

♡ she believes in signs, symbols, fate etc. you name it. of course being a witch, there are certain things one believe in but it’s more of the small things, that almost make her appear ovelrly superstitious such as refusing to live a house which address includes the number 13 or opening an umbrella indoors.

♡ she’s teaching painting + pottery classes she always had interest in drawing as it always calmed her down and helped her to “keep track” of her dreams etc. 

♡ still uses a flip phone for the simple reason she doesn’t see any reason to upgrade her phone and waste any money on a phone that might not last as long as her old phone.. ( and perhaps she’s afraid too appear like an old person when she’d need to adjust to a never phone ) 

♡ has an enchanted piece of jewelry gifted to her by her mother. it’s a necklace and it helps her with her nightmares as it lessens their frequency.

best friend: even someone like ilayda has a best friend. perhaps they’ve gotten close when she moved back or they were friends before and have reunited.

Biography:

Xanthe Waverly was raised in Massachusetts, her life busy and full. She grew up knowing she was adopted; her parents had always been open and honest about it. However, it was a secret they shared only with close friends and family. Petite and blonde, she looked nothing like her adoptive parents, though they adored her as if she were their own. They were older parents, wealthy and successful, and they had longed to fill their large home with children. Unable to have children of their own later in life, they fostered several children before adopting Xanthe. She was a baby from Maine, needing a home. Her parents fell in love with her immediately. Spoiled and cherished, Xanthe was given a good life.

Growing up, Xanthe was a bubbly and outgoing girl, though she could sometimes be a little arrogant and blunt with her words. She usually meant well and would apologise when she knew she'd gone too far. In high school, she grew into a confident young woman. She loved the attention and popularity. Enjoying nice clothes and makeup and spending her time with her friends.

At fifteen, Xanthe's life changed dramatically when she accidentally caused the school water fountain to explode during a fight with her boyfriend. She couldn’t explain what had happened, only that she had done it with her mind. She knew it sounded crazy, but this incident started her curiosity about her abilities, and she began experimenting. With practice and focus, she could do small things like spilling a glass of water and even started to levitate water from the pond outside. This newfound power made her secretive, as she pulled away from her parents and friends, and she became determined to find out the origins of her abilities.

She tried her best to focus on college, her popularity, and her grades, Xanthe pursued a history degree at Princeton University. However, her carefully curated life began to unravel about five years ago when she started having peculiar dreams. Initially rare, these dreams became more frequent as her 21st birthday approached. Each dream was set in a different time and place, but constants remained; a mysterious woman delivering cryptic messages, a reflection in a mirror, and a recurring death on her birthday. No matter what she did, the dreams always ended the same way.

The dreams intensified, leaving her exhausted and on edge. During summer break, she lied to her parents and traveled to Crestle Cove, Maine, the town from her dreams. Her visit to Crestle Cove was eerie, with people mistaking her for someone else. Unsure of her sanity, Xanthe barely slept but on her 21st birthday, in the town of Crestle Cove, a wolf was found dead. Though it seemed unbelievable, Xanthe felt an undeniable connection to the town and her dream had come true. The young witch was starting to believe there was more to her powers.

Biography:

Reyes Henrikson, is known to be a kind but strong young man, and was born and raised in the tight-knit werewolf community in Crestle Cove. As the younger cousin of Gerry Henrikson, Reyes grew up under the watchful eyes of his father Andrew, a prominent figure in the pack and his uncle Dwight who was the pack leader. Andrew was often jealous of Dwight but tried his best to remain loyal to his family and pack. Reyes was taught a deep sense of loyalty and duty from a young age.

As a child, Reyes idolised his father and uncle, observing their leadership and the respect they commanded within the pack. He always felt a strong connection to his heritage and the responsibilities that came with it. However, unlike his older cousin Gerry, Reyes never felt the same pressures to lead the pack. Instead, he found his place in being the supportive, reliable presence that the pack members could always count on. Especially after the death of his uncle, he remained loyal to Gerry, proving himself.

Reyes attended Crestle Cove High School, where he was known for his kind nature and willingness to help others. He was a well-rounded student, excelling in academics, sports and arts, and forming strong friendships with both humans and supernaturals. Despite the secrecy surrounding his true nature, Reyes managed to live a rather normal teenage life.

After high school, Reyes tried various jobs around Crestle Cove, from working at the local comic book store, to supporting at the local theatre to helping out in the family bar during busy nights. It wasn’t long before his path led him back to the bar more permanently. When Gerry took over the bar and the pack, Reyes was there to support him. He admired Gerry’s natural leadership abilities and the way he balanced his life.

Biography:

Born into a family of witches in Crestle Cove, Cailan has always been aware of the supernatural world. As a child, he found it difficult to keep secrets and often told his friends about his magical abilities, trying to show off with playground "magic tricks." This behaviour led his mother into pulling him out of school until he was old enough to understand the importance of secrecy. By the age of fifteen, he was well-established in the coven and understood the consequences of revealing his true nature to humans.

However, Cailan easily fell into the wrong crowd. Although he knew better than to experiment with illegal substances, he found it lucrative to sell them. For a long time, he became the go-to person for acquiring both legal and illegal items. His reputation grew, but his life took a significant turn when he met Sage, an older witch from his coven. Sage was powerful and smart, and recognised the potential profit in selling vampire blood. She enlisted Cailan, swearing him to secrecy and offering him a cut of the earnings. Though Cailan lacked the strength to take down a vampire on his own, he partnered with a werewolf he had known from high school. Together, they sold vampire blood, making a substantial profit.

As Cailan matured, he began to question his choices. Despite his growing unease, his working relationship with Sage flourished, and she entrusted him with managing a vampire bar she was opening. Her condition was that he keep his blood dealings separate from his work at the bar. Cailan left most of the dealings to his partner, trying to distance himself from the darker side of his activities. Though dealing in vampire blood wasn’t strictly illegal, since the law didn’t recognise vampire but Cailan felt a growing discomfort, especially knowing vampires who didn’t deserve such exploitation.

Cailan thrived in the bar, making supernatural contacts and enjoying the work. Friendly and confident, he quickly became a popular figure. Despite his charm and outward confidence, he grappled with doubts about his choices. However, his loyalty to his family and coven in Crestle Cove remained strong, and he would never abandon them.

Known for his charm, Cailan was outgoing, kind, and always eager to help others. Despite his flaws, he tried to do the right thing. For much of his life, he was considered a womaniser, enjoying flirting and casual relationships. However, as he aged, he began to yearn for genuine love and connection. He had always harboured feelings for Penny Walker, an older witch from his coven and one of his closest friends. These feelings began to grow stronger, shifting from platonic to romantic but the older witch fell in love with a werewolf, and Cailan knew he had to let her go. Distracting himself with other women.

Five years ago, Cailan's life took another dramatic turn when he met Aria Perduta, a human who had lost her memories due to a magical spell. Determined to help her, Cailan created an amulet to counteract the spell. Despite his modesty, the spell was complex, and he accomplished it with ease. Over time, he grew closer to Aria, and they had a fling. However, a broken spell forced him to erase her memories, a decision that left him deeply troubled.

Claudia Bryant, born five centuries ago as Claudette Bykowski, from a family of Colombian and Polish descent who had made their home in France. Raised amidst the rich tapestry of French culture, and influenced by her own family's culture, Claudia's childhood was privileged and sheltered. Her father, an intelligent and respected man, owned vast lands and many estates, providing Claudia with a life of luxury. He was close friends with many noblemen and arranged her engagement while she was still an infant, shaping many plans for her future. Until she came of age, Claudia was watched over by servants and scholars who provided her with an extensive education.

As a child, Claudia was kind and loyal, traits she inherited from her mother. However, her strong-minded and opinionated nature, a reflection of her father's character, often got her into trouble. She was well-educated, capable of reading and writing, appreciated literature and science, and spoke many languages. Claudia loved horse riding and spent more time outdoors than was deemed appropriate for a girl of her status. Though she was selfish and spoiled, she harbored a deep desire to explore beyond the confines of her home, often sneaking out despite her father's strict prohibitions, which frequently resulted in punishment.

Drawn to his charisma and the allure of a life she had only read about, she fell in love with him and, against her upbringing, gave him her virtue. One night, Oliver appeared in her chambers and offered her a choice: to leave or to become his forever. When a fire broke out, Claudia saved Ezra, turning her into her first progeny. Intelligent and persuasive, Claudia's talents from her human life evolved into enhanced glamouring and persuasion abilities as a vampire. She could manipulate the perceptions of other vampires, witches, and werewolves, making people see what she wanted them to see.
