Natural selection at work?

His name is pronounced Crem-fall. His design is based on Victorian clowns. I think I hate him.

I wanna say he’s a Trapeze themed performer, and he’ll hang out in trees or high places and just be creepy. Sometimes he’ll purposely fall, or play dead all tangled up on a fence or spiked wall, and when intended victims get close he’ll come back to life.

I imagine graceful Cremefol falling off a roof and getting tangled up in Christmas lights.

Or maybe he fell on purpose as per his nature, and he’s asking someone to untangle the “poor disarmed clown”.

This is my walking catastrophe. He’s like an accordion, his middle and spine stretch if he wants to appear ‘taller’, but he can’t appear bigger - so the more he stretch the thinner he be.

Really bad with ‘human’ emotions, and maybe the worst aspect of his stalker/hunting behavior. He understand he feeds on fear and he knows how to acquire what he wants, but he doesn’t comprehend the complexity of human emotions; or, to that extent what trauma does to the human psyche. He doesn’t kill his victims often, making his physical/corporeal form somewhat delicate. Typically leaves behind a long span of disaster consisting of unstable ‘survivors’.

Still likes to entertain. Humor consists of him having a horrible accident by falling out of a tree.

He will not confront or fight. If he cannot intimidate, he will nope out.

Prefers hunting around the crescent phases of the moon cycle, when fewer people are out but also less light. He’ll put on a show or a routine to entice the intended victim in; once they are close, he will seize and bite the tar out of them. Either he’ll release or kill, it’s a fifty-fifty splint, but not up for debate.

He doesn’t think of himself as intimidating - he just thinks creatures or things that humans are not well accustomed to - or they don’t fully understand - will upfront be horrifying until the human is appropriately conditioned to a new entity. From that aspect, he does get really confused if he re-encounters one of his survivors and they are utterly petrified by his presence.

He’s like “bro, I’m not hangry today. Chill.”

Wanted to do a morph ref, because I liked the idea that the face markings are mouth. And then lots of teeth.

Cremefol doesn’t really do the shape-shifting, he’s an opportunistic hunter and uses the friendly, flashy colors of the humans preset stigma of “clown = entertainment” to gull prey into that sense of security. Then surprise, isn’t this horrifying? But he doesn’t use the Horror Show form to maim or feed, it’s primarily used if escape is impossible and he’s in some sort of danger like a bunch of kids have united to beat the crap out of him in which case if his bluff doesn’t work, get ready for a whooping.

I did put some deadlights in, but took them out. Cremefol doesn’t have a preferred territory he’s anchored to or a horde, which could be why he wouldn’t daze victims since he’s not influencing a geographic range. Likewise, his hibernation cycles are sporadic. He’ll usually go for five or ten years of slumber, unless some sort of human activity or other cataclysm awakens him early. You could say he’s a light sleeper.
