EXCERPT

“Hm, not exactly reassuring,” Keith teased, trying not to let his smirk show.

Lance floundered at that, sputtering, “Hey, hey, I’ll have you know I was, and still am, an excellent lifeguard! In fact, mouth to mouth from me would probably improve your quality of life!”

Keith wasn’t sure what prompted the next words that came out of his mouth, because it certainly wasn’t his own conscious will. Perhaps he’d swallowed too much salt water, or he’d gotten too much sun. Or perhaps, just maybe, it was that weird little wiggle in his chest that made him feel pleased that he’d gotten to Lance, and wanted to do it again.

“Oh yeah? Prove it.”

You Should Be Scared of Me(Teen, One-shot)Post-canon

After his silver medal at the Grand Prix, and gold at Nationals and 4CC, Katsuki Yuuri is one of the favorites to win Worlds. The list of favorites also includes Russia’s Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Plisetsky, as well as Canada’s national treasure Jean-Jacques Leroy.

Most other skaters have already taken note of, and are annoyed by, JJ’s habit of announcing he’ll take gold at the competitions (even if the boast never precedes an actual gold medal outside of Nationals).

Victor, on the other hand, only blinks and furrowns his brow in confusion when asked about his opinion on JJ’s bold statements. It usually takes Yuuri whispering something in his ear for his face to light up and for him to give a vague answer about that Canadian skater certainly being talented.

Yuuri, too, can’t be bothered to have an opinion about JJ’s boasts, only about his quads. (And at least he’s done the skater the courtesy of knowing his name.) 

Except that now JJ has told both Leo and Otabek that the only reason Victor Nikiforov took half a season off last year was because he was scared of him; that Nikiforov was afraid of meeting JJ on the ice again, and only returned now because he couldn’t stand the thought of JJ surpassing him.

“I’d like to see him say that to my face,” Yuuri tells Phichit.“Unlikely. He never talks to you.”“Yeah, I know, what’s that all about?!”Phichit splutters, and it’s up to Leo to answer. “He’s… a bit scared of you, Yuuri.”“He’s what?!”Otabek nods. “It’s true.”JJ is scared of him?Huh. 

Official practice is about to start, and after looking around for Yuuri for a couple of minutes, Victor finally sees him leave the locker room - but instead of making a beeline for Victor as usual, he sits next to that Canadian guy. He’s amused to notice the Canadian jumps a little and looks as if he’s about to run. Like he’s afraid of Yuuri.

Well, he should be. Yuuri’s got that sweet smile on his face that spells ‘danger’ to anyone who knows him.

He can’t hear their conversation from here, so he just waits, intrigued. Why would Yuuri choose to talk to that loud Canadian boy, of all people? 

When Yuuri finally gets up, he walks up to where Victor’s waiting. JJ looks pale.

“Yuuri, what were you guys talking about?”“Who?”“You and… that Canadian guy.”“What Canadian guy?” asks Yuuri, before taking to the ice.

Victor shrugs, and forgets all about it.

But when Canadian guy keeps landing face first on the ice instead of landing jumps, Victor can’t help but wonder what on Earth Yuuri said to him.

I’m just kidding i would never go to space you’d have to drag me. No space, no deep sea diving, i don’t need those answers i need sunlight and air. 

I suppose my bucket list would be... Publish a Book, travel abroad for a long period of time, help a young author who came to me for advice because of my published book publish their OWN book. 

Travel related bucket list: be confused for a local in a place i am absolutely not a local.
