I’m sketching some full body sketches of everyone who had wanted me to draw heir Oc for the big drawing. I started out with these three because they are badass fighters and they have weapons lol. My canvas isn’t very large so I’m gonna do 3 character sketches per canvas, some of the newer ones may follow a theme of similarities or not.

Probably! Over time, I’ve come to see skekGra and skekMal’s relationship as something like rivals but also borderline friends? Like they’re the two skeksis you don’t want to fuck with, but skekGra as the Conqueror was way more dangerous. SkekMal was unpredictable, sure, but skekGra was that and more. I’m sure skekMal had challenged him to plenty of duels and always lost. SkekGra became something the Hunter both envied and respected and wanted to get stronger so he’d could satisfyingly defeat him.

Mikono: The only way i get lost is in your eyes

Mikono is very fond of Skektif, she is the only one on Thra with the same orgin as him, and he graves a relationship in any way. Just not being alone is his goal.

Skketif who only lost and saw the creatures around her being terrifed or hatred towards her, seeks the hidden life. SHe also graves some kind of love, but is way to afraid of the risk of it. So she tried to scare Mikono away.

That’s skekSa for sure. She’s the only skeksis to genuinely love the gelfling right from the beginning (even if that love is tainted). The final two books does a great job at exploring her character, even doing a deep dive into her psyche and who she was as SaSan. Even if she was as bad as the other skeksis were, she seemed like the only one that could be reasoned with (and perhaps even join the resistance). She’s a really interesting character and I can only hope they expand upon this in future seasons.

I wouldn’t say Seladon being Kira’s mom is a theory considering the leak. Also Seladon was sculpted to resemble Kira and all of the parallels they have with each other so. It kind of makes me sad because I always thought she’d work better as Deet’s daughter (considering they both love animals).  

Rian being Jen’s dad is very plausible since Jen is confirmed to be a descendant from the same tribe (also he just looks like a Stonewood). I can also see Kylan being his father as well as he is half Stonewood and apparently Jen’s firca belonged to Kylan. Although, he could have given that to him when he was a baby so who knows. I don’t know if, Rian being the father, Deet would have been his mother unless she’s able to get rid of the darkening she’s harboring. 

I’m sort of in between the two. The skeksis make the Dark Crystal. They’re just great villains so having them return is good. The problem is there was no explanation for it. The writers only did this because they were rehashing the movie’s plot so the twist falls flat. I can also complain how they did the skeksis dirty and made them one dimensional but that’s for another time.

Food for thought, what if skekMal knew Rek'yr father who was like the hunter's original guide? The father and son were probably outcast or risk takers. Maybe Rek'yr was raised riding along side the hunter and explains why he did not fear him and we're on name base terms? I really love your answer to these deep thought questions they are really great read 😁 .

Oooh, I like this. Like skekMal was his dad’s hand-me-down LOL. Although I don’t think the two would be outcasts. Rek’yr’s father might have also been a sandmaster and raised his son to become one. And maybe they have a similar dynamic to Periss and his brother Erimon from the books where Rek’yr constantly challenged his father’s as well as the rest of the Dousan’s views (minus him running away and becoming a thief).
