How did you become a fan of the Inuyasha fandom?
Being woken up at 3:27AM to the end credits of the first episode and staying up to watch the second one. Back when it aired on adult swim lolol
Did you read the manga or watch the anime first? What was your first impression?
The anime, I saw a couple out of sequence episodes, talked to my friends about it and then was leant the manga. I was enthralled. I loved the world building, the backstories, and the soundtrack really set the scene for me. I do remember questioning every episode why Kagome was into Inuyasha and why Inuyasha was into Kagome. Even before I knew what shipping was I knew they didn't belong together.
What do you like most about writing?
Building my own world and backstories. I honestly have, just a tad, more fun blocking out my fics than writing them. The fight for appropriate synonyms and adjectives gets me every time. But planning out the scenes just flows.
What are your favourite tropes as a writer?
Soul mates, he falls first (and hard), mutual pining and miscommunications, there was only one bed.
Which tropes bring you back to fics as a reader again and again?
Mutual pining. There's so much angst in it. It's devastating when done right.
Which story of yours is your personal favourite? Which part are you the most proud of?
Maybe "Wood You Like A Cupcake" and my favorite bits have been the darker parts and the attacks, and how Kagome always seems to save herself. That Kagome has been through so much and she still fights back.

What makes a good story?
Emotion. It doesn't matter how "well" something is written - formatting, punctuation, word choice - if there's no emotion in it it shows. A good story makes you laugh, cry, rage, etc. It makes you feel for the characters and feel what they feel. As I reader I want to want to sob over the third act break-up. I want to want to reach in and slap some sense into the characters when they mess up. I want to want to laugh when they laugh, and find their shenanigans entertaining. As a writer I want to want to say to myself "Everyone's gonna hate me" as I cackle and press the post button.
What does your creative setting look like? (snacks, music, a comfy blanket, etc.)
My office set up at my desk in my cozy chair with a soft sweater, a too big cup of coffee, whichever playlist sparks joy.
The living room, wrapped in blanket on the loveseat, a kids show or nonsense im not paying attention to in the TV.
The passenger seat of our jeep, my phone, most likely the children screaming for juice from the backseat, and my thumbs flying a mile a minute because I can't not write **this**
Where do you get your ideas? In your dreams? In the shower?
Dreams, car rides, in the middle of the night when I'm about to fall asleep. Also scrolling. I get a lot of ideas from memes and reddit.
What is your kryptonite as a writer?
Too many and too similar synonyms. They mean the same but the don't and I can never decide which option is better.
What advice would you give someone who wants to start writing?
Do it. Don't worry about who will like it or if anyone else will read it. If you like it that's more than enough to call it good.
What will be your next project we can look forward to?
I'd like to finish some wips first but my next big fic is going to be a western AU with Ranch Owner Kagome and Newly Hired Ranch Hand Sesshomaru. Sparks fly on sight. There's a little wolf fueled jealousy that may or may not be founded. There's some class and species issues going on. They fall in love in the kitchen over shared recipes and "here, taste this"
