People of Asian, Mediterranean and South American heritages typically fall in this category. how to shoot and edit for darker skin tones shot at Unnamed.Â
step 1.Â
always use a hairlight. don't rob your subjects of color of the detail in their hair when you photograph them. if you don't have a strobe, bring the subject a little further off of the background. if you are outside, try to use natural light to create a halo effect, by shooting them right between light and shadow.

APPLICATIONS OPEN! Light Grey Art Lab Norway Creative Residency Program 2018 June 6th-11th and June 13th-18th, 2018
We are inviting artists from all disciplines to apply for a spot in our 2018 Norway residency program. Join a small team of exceptional creatives and academics on a journey of discovery, collaboration and inspiration, surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. Known for crystal clear fjords surrounded by lush, conifer-covered mountains, Norway is a place like no other. It promotes an incredible clarity of mind and feels like a walking meditation through a humbling, sensory landscape. We welcome artists from all over the world to apply for this residency and are looking forward to the diverse backgrounds and perspectives we'll share during the program.
Our upcoming  6 day / 5 night residency program will runs during the summer season of 2018. Light Grey Art Lab's Norway residency sets a different tone than our previous Iceland residency, which promotes the sharing of experiences and reflections derived from the accomplishments of each participant, our new Norway Creative Residency Program celebrates what we will be, what we will do, and the challenges we wish to undertake on our creative journeys.
During the program, we will be sharing a traditional Norwegian space together, a launchpad for our exploratory journey where we will wander the dramatic landscape together, create work in the field, swim in crystal-clear waters, learn from local experts about the sea-faring history of the land's inhabitants, and travel by water in traditional Norwegian wood-hull boats during the day, and at night participate in creative lectures and workshops led by fellow artists-in-residence over family-style meals in our countryside home.Â
Find all of the details, the formal application, scholarship opportunities and more on the Light Grey travel pages here!
