To represent myself and my creative work, I wanted a simple, easy to remember, yet interesting name. Using just my initials (KM) was too obvious and so I did some research on what sorts of names might be suitable for self-promotion and a freelance brand.
Looking at some blogs from previous years, I found that sometimes just using a name or initials was successful enough, depending on how interesting the name is or if it could be used as part of a word play.
This lead me to think about using âKatâ alongside with references to the cat animal, however I felt this could look quite amateur and childish considering that I will be looking for graduate roles in a business/marketing environment.
After considering various options, I quickly came up with the word âCreativeâ which perfectly sums up my skills, passion and services. I then progressed to âCreative Katâ which makes the brand personable to me, as well as being a name of good length and with a bit of a roll off the tongue effect - making it easy to remember.Â
Funnily enough when I started this blog I called it âCreative Katherineâ , as in reference to the creative platforms unit....so the brand name just seemed to progress naturally from this and now itâs stuck.Â
There we have it, Creative Kat!Â
