Have been rather blown away by the ladies taking my 13 week Art Journaling courses, moving from being more cautious in making marks, asking lots of questions before paint touches the paper, to just feeling ok with picking up some materials and trying something new, not overly worrying about what it will look like. Checking in at the start of each session, telling me about how they are noticing everyday details more. So powerful. So honoured to be there with them on this journey. I have had many requests to offer an introduction to art journaling for those who can’t commit over such a sustained period of time… and so planted a seed of an idea of a day retreat… A Spring Day Retreat! I invite you to rediscover the joy of your own creativity through art journaling that is therapeutic, liberating and transformative. We work utilising free writing, collage play, mixed media techniques in response to prompts. Let go of your assumptions and your limitations, relax into the possibilities. Learn to be present in enjoying processes through creative mess making prompts to let go of perfection, with meditative mindful exercises. It is open to anyone who is keen to work away from the daily constraints of adulting and discover many ways to do something for sheer delight, learn how everything is beautiful and nothing is wasted.
