Let's talk about how I make my graphics! You can find this visual guide here.

To answer your question, I use a combination of images from Pinterest, get worldbuilding inspiration from Art Station, and use Autodesk Sketchbook for painting custom assets. My favorite brushes are the tattoo inker and a 3H pencil.

I can list my "big player" tools for you, since you're just getting started! None of this is sponsored, this is all just stuff I personally use and have vetted.

Canva Creative Suite (free version) as a main graphics editing and compiling program. I used this to make moodboards, my header graphic, and pretty much everything you see from me.

Adobe Firefly Image Background Remover to get around Canva's free limitation on creating transparent images.

FontSpace is the best place to go to make free text-based logos using unique, user-made typefaces.

Adobe Color Palette Generator (from image) is where I pull colors directly from screenshots from.

CapCut for video editing and special effects in the gifs I've made.

EZgif for converting high quality screen captures into high quality gifs. It also has tools for editing, compressing, or making transparent gifs.

Earlier this year, I found a website called fontspace around the time I began reworking a Canon x Reader series of mine into an original character story. (Series in question is No Foxes In This Hole, in case anyone's curious.) Decided on that change for many reasons, but I'll stick with sharing reason number three from my "3 Big Reasons" list.

I want to keep details as true as possible to the world-building of the SW franchise as a fun personal challenge. That kind of challenge would be better to undertake on an original character story as not everyone wants MY preferred "healthy dose" of in-depth lore and/or level of immersion for a story that's going to be a slow-burn romance within an x Reader format.

So if I was going for immersion, I wanted needed Aurebesh font generators in order to add details to the fic banners for NFITH, like so.

I will mention I didn't have Canva Pro at the time I made these. Nor will I not too long from now. (Have 14 days left of a 30-day free trial and cannot afford a subscription at this time.) I've been "working around" that since February by using the option to "Save As Image" whenever I make fic dividers that use the English/Aurebesh fonts. I specifically use these two fonts shown in the example screenshot using my Clone OC Canvas for the placeholder text.

If you're saving your text this way, pay attention to the toggle's position! Make sure it looks like this in order to save it like a PNG.

Now while making all these dividers and banners, I've been using Canva to tweak the colors to all the approximate hex codes needed. You can change the color on Fontspace... but keep in mind doesn't give you the ability to make it exact. A feature I'll sorely miss when C. Pro runs out, lol.
