Creating Tomorrow Together - with Improv! 2 days ago I was asked by this Awesome woman, a colleague in The CEO’s Communications team “Hey can you help us keep the momentum going on our Creating Tomorrow Together week? Can you jump in and do some improv? Just 15-20 min? Before the keynote speaker maybe, like a pop up??” Well, I have been trained. This is the CEOs office asking. Of course I said “Sure! When do you need us?” “Tomorrow, maybe Thursday.” “Whoa. Oh! Okay! Yes And I am here to Serve the Team!” Yesterday the notice went out in the ‘Final Day of culture week’ email to All of Ford: “Looking for a little lunchtime fun? Come down to join in on some “Impromptu Improv” outside the Cafeteria at 12:45 p.m. and collaborate with your teammates in a totally new way.” Yup, that’s what we did! IN THE HALLWAY. That’s right. Pop-up Improv at Ford. We quickly had about 30 people for 3 mock improv teams, and we played new Collaboration Energizers for small team huddles... down & dirty comedy improv basic boot camp stuff to focus and get in sync, like what else, Crazy 8s, Zip Zap Zop &... of course, our Ford Improv favorite, You’re Awesome game, to close out with high energy. Turns out, 15-20 min is Pop-up Perfect & we all had a BLAST playing in the improv sandbox! Always go out on a High & leave them wanting more! That’s my Host in the photo... think she had fun!
