Went to an art show tonight by Jenny Hjertquist called “Real Concrete . . .” featuring fantastic shapes, textures, forms and colours, with careful placements of object, light and shadow. Influenced by medieval history and retro- futuristic aesthetics, the artist has the right balance of playfulness and dissonance using handmade chainmail, satin and concrete.
