It wasn't like they had a choice in the matter. So as they came rolling into the abandoned parking lot of the equally abandoned hospital, Harvey didn't waste any time heading out. They motioned his driver, Bob, to come with them.
Time couldn't be wasted no more. Time was something he couldn't afford be seen wasting now that when someone close to him risked being killed.
Everything that had been said during that phone call with Crane repeated in his head. The hints that Bianca was barely pulling through, but alive. The clue to Heckland still being in the building. It was enough for adrenaline to kick up a notch, putting his shared body into a headlock.
This is a trap.
I know that.
And you're stupid enough to wander straight into it.
You have any other ideas?
Alongside of Bob, they marched inside. The hospital was a big place -- and they could be searching the whole damn place until their time ran out.

TWO-FACE: --Bianca! Are you okay? Where the hell have you been? Do you have ANY idea how many times we've called you?
CRANE: Oh? I’m sorry Bianca can’t come to the phone right now. Poor thing.
TWO-FACE: Wh--- What the fu-- Who...Crane-!?
CRANE: Missing something?
TWO-FACE: What. Did you. do? Where is she?
CRANE: I’m sure she’s fine. Alive. Perfectly healthy. For now at least. What was his name… Heckland. Seems very intent on changing that
TWO-FACE: How did you...--- Letmefuckingathim,Harv---
CRANE: Oh, you know. Time. Attention. A million of so dollars. My childhood. It is an extensive list. What do you have to give?
TWO-FACE: Agoodol'fuckinbeatin, thatswhat--- Hmpf--- hn. Well --- what is it that you NEED? You know what we can give you. But we need to hear if she's okay first. Because believe it or not; we have a hard time trusting you right now...I thought we had a deal.
CRANE: I agreed not to kill her on the docks. Notice how she survived. And there are new deals to be made now. Heckland offered insight into all his dirty secrets and every questionable choice that he’s ever made. Surely, you can do better.
A PAUSE. STATIC.
CRANE: You can say hello, now, Ms. Neroni.
BINARY: Harvey--I'm okay,--
TWO-FACE: Bianca. We're coming to get you, okay? Did he hurt you?
BINARY: N-No. I said I'm fine. Just -- please come here as quickly as you can--okay?
TWO-FACE: I---
CRANE: Hn… you know. The toxins do do still need to be tested. After you destroyed my last batch, this new one is in need of some quality control.
TWO.-FACE: So is that what you want? Test subjects?
CRANE: A test subject. Ha. Or two. All I really need is a body, it doesn’t matter how many pieces the mind is in.
TWO-FACE: ...You want to test on US? Why---?
CRANE: For science. Why else? You two are an anomaly of sorts. There is a complexity there that I want to understand more fully. My work does not pertain only to fear, but the way a brain learns to adapt to it. Or is forced to adapt to it. There is always more to study, with the mind.
--- I am in the old Gotham General hospital, just outside of the city. I estimate that Roy will wake up within the hour. And Ms. Neroni will be going with him, as per our deal. You have… however long that takes to make a decision.
BINARY: Harvey, you can't---
TWO-FACE: We'll be there 10 minutes. Bianca will go back with Bob --. Deal?
CRANE: Mh. Do try to drive the speed limit.
TWO-FACE: And Crane; We swear to god, if you go back on your word this time around.---
CRANE: What, you’ll cut out my tongue? Don’t worry. I would never dream of it.
TWO-FACE: You better not.
CRANE: Clock's ticking, Dent.
~. Motherfucker. Son of a bitch. Bastard. Shitface. Tall, stupid cu---
Stop.
Harvey couldn't focus with Two-Face hurling insults at Crane within their divided mind. Occupying every circuit of their shared brain. Right now, they had to watch out for everything. A wrong glance, an unpreditable movement -- He simply couldn't be trusted.
"...--- That's it? You're not going to say shit to us?"
Both of them were well aware that a slightest small spark could trigger a whole new event - but Two-Face was done with pretending to be nice to keep the peace between them. Not when Binary was hurting.
A guttural growl was escaping up from their stomach, brewing inside their lungs -- like he couldn't contain his primal instincts, the need to tear Scarecrow down with bare hands.
"We know what you fucking did, Crane -- are you happy? Satisfied with what you've accomplished?"
I said -- stop.
"We don't think you understand what you've done."
The former District Attorney struggled to keep his alter-ego at bay as he advanced forward, their faces entering Jonathan's personal space.
"Why? Why did you release Binary's identity to the public? Whatever did you have to gain from that, asswipe?" .~
The Scarecrow rarely found enough reason to wake up before dawn. Most days, he would be preparing to leave the laboratory at this time, finishing up all the experiments and projects and setting his notes in order for future reference. But, no. Instead, he was standing just outside of Robinson Park, watching the first cracks of daylight spill across empty streets and glint off of the lighter in his hand.
Smoke curled around his lips as he exhaled. Early mornings were the only times that he was able to linger in places without prying eyes. Early mornings were always the easiest times to set up meetings and somewhat shady deals. Early mornings were peaceful in a way that was unnatural for a city like Gotham.
His eyes catch on a flicker of movement, and the Scarecrow tilts his head to the side to watch a car roll towards him.
~. The car came to a complete stop by the nearby pavement, parking up before the two-sided driver exited. The duo had decided to refrain from telling anyone he was going here to finish the deal with the other criminal -- especially his female partner in crime.
Not that it mattered anyway - she hadn't responded to anything they had been sending her way. Not a single call back, not an answer to any of their text messages. Nothing.
All thanks to the man they were about to meet up with.
Their trenchcoat got caught up in the cold wind as they made it up to the designated meet-up spot, glaring up at Scarecrow the entire time that they closed in.
Not a 'Hello', not a ' Morning' - just a firm, ice-cold stare as the duality approached him.
"...Like we promised -- Here."
Outward, Harvey extended his gloved hand. Showing a set of keys but not shoving it Crane's way just yet. It was clear by his eye squinting and tone that he was anything but happy with what Scarecrow had been up to.

If there was something that Binary did better than anything else it was disappearing. Away from the people that cared for her, away from the ones that she cared for. All in the name of revenge, nothing else.
The latest day and night, her mind had been consumed of it. Turning nearly half of Gotham upside down in search of the man that had turned her life on it's head.
Scarecrow.
The fucker was real good at never staying too long on the same spot. Like a cockroach, he moved from spot to spot, staying out of sight at every destination. But definitely not out of mind.
But finally. There was a breakthrough in the very late hours of the night. Someone online dropped his name confessing they had spotted him, and just like that she was hot on his trail.
She had hunted him down through cameras all the way down through the Bowery. And if she was quick enough, she could track him down physically too -- bringing all the fire power she could muster.
But...something wasn't right.
Because just as she was about to leave her station and head out -- a car had driven up to cut off Scarecrow's path. Bringing her attention back to the monitor once more.
Terrible night. Or rather, a terrible morning to wake up to. His worn, rudely-awokened visage had been staring at his reflection in the tall windows of the conference room for nearly half an hour now. Waiting. Unbearable waiting. God—
“I-I’m sorry, – I came as quick as I –”
The voice of his fellow member of the board came through. Malik Ortega - Chief of Technology - was a trustworthy man. One of the few men that Roy trusted with his life. But today, he was about to get a world full of anger directed at him for no reason at all.
“Sit down,” Heckland growled, hand on his hips like a disappointed authority figure. “And none of you fuckin’ talk until I adress you. Got it?”
Mr Ortega swallowed hard as he got seated among his fellow board members.
Elliot Lee.
Karen Duvall.
George Wheeler.
All four of them were on high alert – witnessing their boss march back and forth in front of the skyline of Gotham city - drowning in a beautiful array of sunset colors.
“...Now that we are all f i n a l l y gathered -” Roy gave a quick glare to Ortega with a torturous pause who quickly wished to melt through the floor. Everyone in that room besides the CEO hoping they could do the same. Perhaps that would spare them of the explosion that was about to go off in the room. “ …Let’s talk about how to resolve this fucking mess.”
With bated breath, the board exchanged glances between one another. Hoping that the other would have something to say, something to redeem themselves from the shitstorm, but nothing. So just like always, Roy had to step up and solve it himself.
“...Fine —, I’ll begin. There’s no way that the media can trust this – what – anonymous source? What kind of fucking proof did they even have? Can we request the case file from the GCPD? See what they know?”
This question was directed to Mrs Duvall - ice queen of the office. Although Roy’s temper managed to make her squirm, she held her ground a little more due to her age and ability to not give a damn.
“It depends how active the case is, Roy…And we aren’t actually accused of any foul play here. But if Ms Neroni did commit any of these accused crimes during her employment —”
The name alone made Heckland cringe.
“They’ll be sure to investigate us. Fuck. Okay—”
“...About Ms Neroni…If she truly isn’t dead and this ‘Binary’ person has been her all along…” Karen didn’t get to finish her sentence before Elliot Lee cut in after he had been rapidly kicking the floor with his foot. He had too much on his mind to stay silent today.
“I thought you said you got rid of her — Now she’s what? Coming back with a vengeance to end us all? Y-You don’t understand, man – but have you seen the threats this ‘Binary’ has been sending to us all? It’s heavy shit - and we fear for our lives here! Just look at Wheeler — “
All eyes turned to the youngest member of the board - George, who was wiping his glasses for probably the 45th time since the start of their meeting. Eyes piercing into the nothing before him, dissociating beyond repair.
“He’s like, fucked up — “
“Snap out of it, you wimp!”
Like thunder coming down, Roy slammed his fist into the long table. Causing Wheeler to nearly drop his glasses before staring up to the others with fright written all over him. Completely out of shape and beyond logical reason.
“L-Look, the – they came to my house! They knew where I lived and w-who I had been talking to –T-They’re not fucking around. They want us dead – Because of what we did —”
Those words seemed to strike a sore spot amongst the whole room. Every member let the quiet sink in before Malik finally let his voice speak up.
“You need to sort this out, Roy. We all know what happened to Neroni - we all know what you did to her. If she is who the media says she is…She can destroy everything we’ve worked so hard for. Tear us AND the company down before we know it.”
The confrontation caused the CEO to go speechless - staring at Malik first with undeniable rage - but it quickly simmered down. His hands thrown up into the air like he was surrendering to a pack of wolves.
“...Fine. I’ll do it myself. You pieces of shit are as worthless as always. You don’t want to help? Alright.”
The thud of the glass door was the last thing that echoed through the conference room as Roy left - his assistant who had been waiting outside hurrying to catch up with him marching down the hallway. She was equally as lost and confused as the board members who had been left in the room behind them.
“Find out who sent in that anonymous tip. I want a name by the end of the day – And call Falcone and tell me to meet me for lunch. Tell him it’s urgent, even make up a bullshit excuse if you have to - just get me a meeting with him pronto.”
The assistant nodded, already phone in hand to make some calls. “Y-Yes, sir.”
Before Heckland moved into the elevator, his assistant moved back to his office. Her long heels tapped against the cold floor and disappeared down the hallway as the elevator doors closed with a chime.
Bianca Neroni.
Oh, Little Miss Bianca. His Bianca.
Too bad she was too stubborn to die in that car.
And too bad now that she had refused to quit when she could.
He was going to make her life a living hell.
Again.
