⊰♥⊱ ― February was always an awkward month to Marjorine. It was still winter yet it at times you think it could be almost spring. The weather was just inches away from warming up enough to at least wear lighter wear instead of think heavy jackets, fluffy scarves, warm boots and pants. It was way too cold for skirts and the girls who dared to wear a skirt were brave souls in Marjorine's eyes.
The blonde teen had snuggled herself up in a old blue fleece jacket with her white knitted scarf her mom made her. She wasn't quite fond of it but it made her mom happy to see her wear it. Her pants were a bit ripped around the knees and laced stockings could be seen through the rips. Her hair was in loose pigtails with bows holding them together though she looked somewhat thrown together. She leapt through the door and was off to the mall. The only place that was decent enough to go to for a teen in a small crummy town that was too run down for anything too exciting.
Nuzzling her face into her scarf, Marjie quickly made her way to the mall. She almost leaped with joy as she saw the main doors of the mall, small children with their mothers, couples and few stray people wondering in and out were staring at her as she jetted into the warmth of the mall. Her chilled face stung from frost bite. "Finally." She whined to herself. Now to go wonder the land of the mall! There was quite a few sales in a couple of stores and it seemed to be quite busy for a Saturday afternoon.
Walking through the mall she glanced into a couple stores, figuring out where she'd like to go first. As she browsed the stores she saw a familiar face in the book store. They seemed to be very invested in the novel they were holding in their hand. Marjorine casually made her way into the store to rudely interrupt them. "What'cha reading?" She leaned over their side to get a glance at what was inside the novel.
