Finally 'finished' my sleeping platform in my truck. When the center section is removed I can use the truck bed at the full height and the width of a standard cabinet. The handles are soft and made of leather so they smoosh down underneath the mats. Two exped megamat 10's fit side by side-though unfortunately REI doesn't sell them, so I only have 1 right now. They only sell the extra long ones, too long for a truck. Part four of my increasingly misnamed ‘one day build’ of a sleeping platform. I was too tired to put the carpet in down in Socorro, so I did it the next day with doggo supervision. Part 3 of my my wine day sleeping platform build with @iron_vines_sculpture . At the end of this day the whole bed was constructed, but at midnight the carpet needed to wait until the next day. Two 10” x 15” bins slide side-by side into the bed with dried cubbies and a rear area for cold storage while I move out of New Mexico. Lots of math to make sure the 1/2” OSV ply that made up the bed would line up flat with the frame. Part two of my one day #Tacoma sleeping platform build with @iron_vines_sculpture . We didn’t really have a plan going in so there’s lots of figuring out and measuring. Decided to build it with a removable center support so if needed the center of the truck could still be used as..a truck.
