What’s turning my pedals - July!!!!
I’m back in Leeds! I’ve had a few weeks off work between finishing my placement in London and starting back at uni which included a lot of just chilling out and a trip to my brother’s graduation in Brighton. I’ll be writing a post reflecting on my time in London and about cycling in London later in the week. So what’s turning my pedals in July?
Crafitivists Collective! - ok, this is one from a little while ago actually but I forgot to put it in last month’s post. I went to a workshop with the Craftivists in London recently which was a ‘stichable changemakers workshop’. It was so much fun, it was great to meet lots of people who care about making a differece in the world and wanted to spend an evening crafting for change together. Sarah Corbett who started the Craftivists Collective is totally awesome and really inspiring. I hope to be able to incorporate aspects of craftivism into my life and in my toolkit of ways to make the world a better place. You can find out more about the collective here and there are things available in the shop to get involved too.
I’ve been reading a lot over my time off, I’m currently reading Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell which I’m enjoying and next on my list is Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee, the sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird, which I’m pretty excited for. I started a new Twitter account where I’m tweeting about what I’m reading, you can find it @a_bookish_worm.
I took part in the Oh Comely Perfect Strangers project where you swap a parcel with small gifts in with a stranger. I really enjoyed putting together a package and I loved what a received in mine, including a saddle cover for my bike and a little card with bikes on!
Ok, I think that will do, I’m hoping to get out on my bike more soon now I’m back in Leeds and it’s SUMMER!
