BREAKING NEWS: KAMALA’S LAW RESUMES!
Although the House and Senate voted to put a temporary hold on Law S.315, the Underage Superhuman Welfare Act, for ninety days to listen to testimonies and cases for and against it, they ultimately decided to move forward with the Child Hero Reconnaissance and Disruption Law Enforcement ( C.R.A.D.L.E. ) divisions raids and welfare checks last week. Underaged hero activity has seen a recent spike as of late and some assume it was a complacency in believing that they were in the clear that ultimately influenced the governments decision to crack down once more. Crime as a whole has gone down significantly in the last year, with C.R.A.D.L.E. Senior Office Carolina Washington citing it as a sign that it was a good time for young heroes young hero activity to cut back. “Those who register are the heroes we want. The heroes willing to do what it takes to keep our people safe. There’s no reason to muddy the waters with those who are careless or inexperienced,” Washington stated via phone call this morning.
Any hero under the age of twenty-one who is caught not in accordance of Kamala’s Law is brought to one of the C.R.A.D.L.E. RE-EDUCATION Centers that have popped up around the country. There it is reported that they will receive accommodations and lodging until they are no longer a danger to themselves or others and can rejoin society. No footage has been released of the inside of the Facility yet but the government has assured worried parents that they are completely humane and more like schools than prisons.
Leading the charge against C.R.A.D.L.E. are the the Champions, a formerly popular team of Avengers affiliated teenaged heroes. Their failure to handle an incident at Coles High, NJ led to the injury of Kamala Khan (namesake of Kamala’s Law) and was the incendiary act that the government needed to move forward with the legislation. Those directly involved have warrants out for their arrests, and C.R.A.D.L.E. has been actively pursuing Spider-man (not the recently unmasked Peter Parker), Ms. Marvel, Nova and Vivian Vision. A warrant was also issued for Riri Williams (Ironheart), one of the few Champions whose true identity we actually know, but she has remained inactive. The closest C.R.A.D.L.E. has come was their raid of a Champions meeting on 30 May 2025 due to an anonymous tip. Although most were able to escape, officers took Amka Aliya (Snowguard), Lana Baumgartner (Bombshell), Fernanda Ramirez (Red Locust), Nadia Van Dyne (Wasp), Tiana Toomes (Starling) and Lunella Lafayette (Moon Girl) into the Virginia Re-Education Center where they are scheduled to stay for a month pending all goes well.
