Tea Candy
This candy can be used for several purposes depending on what oil and teas you use.
Things You Need:
1 cup sugar (sweetness/sweeten up)
½ cup super strong tea, I mean strong, okay? Load that sucker up! (varies based on tea)
1/3 cup light corn syrup
Oil of some kind- coconut works great (depends on oil) (Can use Pam, veggie oil. Parchment paper works, too.)
Candy thermometer. Super important, you can pick one up at a dollar store.
Swipe oil over a cookie sheet, or you can use parchment paper and forego the oil.
Mix all in a sauce pan on medium-high heat. Pop in a candy thermometer.
Stir, with, you know, something heat-resistant. I don’t want to hear any crap about, “Wahh, my spatula melted!”
Keep stirring until candy reaches about 290-300F. Seriously, pay closer attention here than you do your fanfics, okay? It’s important.
The moment that thermometer reads between that, you pour that shit onto your cookie sheet/pan, whatever.
Allow to cool. (I usually stick it in the freezer for five minutes so it hardens and cracks. Pretend it’s the bodies of your enemies.)
Ready? Smack it with a hammer!!! It’s crack candy that tastes like tea!
You could get fancy, grab some lollipop molds and go to town with this. Add some food coloring, some herbs, whatever. Get fancy!
