With a kick of Tabasco sauce, these Cheesy Crab Melts are a quick and tasty seafood snack or appetizer. When you put lump crabmeat, cheeses, and spices between two slices of buttery bread, you get a delicious treat.
Ingredients: 8 ounces lump crabmeat. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce. 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley. 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 slices of bread. 2 tablespoons butter, softened.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 400F 200C. In a mixing bowl, combine the lump crabmeat, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, Tabasco sauce, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Divide the crab mixture evenly onto the unbuttered sides of 4 bread slices. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Slice the sandwiches diagonally and serve warm.
