YES I’m working on a furusawa doujin! It’s a collab with @justciel / @alteredskyscape. I’m writing the story and she’s drawing the art.

My part is more or less done, I’ve written out the entire script and sent it to her - tbh I don’t know when it’ll be finished, it’s up to her now, everything depends on her schedule/free time/inspiration to draw, etc etc …

i’m so used to bodyswap fic where the people being swapped basically just need to realize that they are Meant For Each Other (and seal it with a kiss or a fuck, depending on the case) to swap back which takes maybe a week at most

and i love those don’t get me wrong but it still kind of bothers me when it’s about sports people who have SUPER DIFFERENT SKILLSETS (setter/wing spiker, pitcher/catcher, point guard/small forward for a few that come to mind) and nobody seems to notice the change

and then there is that scene after the third years resign when ryousuke says he could probably switch with haruichi to play in his stead

and so i got to thinking about how they would fare at being each other, and also how to fix their situation since the kissing thing is not my cup of tea, but that was distracting so I posted about it and thought i was done with this random idea

but then it festered

Yeah, I find it really limits my options in both writing and reading since I’m just not particularly enthusiastic about AUs in general. I’ll generally only read AUs when they’re written by good friends whose works I want to support, but otherwise I tend to scroll past them because I just can’t muster up the enthusiasm. I can’t help my personal tastes, weh :( I do like looking at AUs in fanart, though!! But when it comes to reading fics, I’ve always been strictly canonfic in my tastes, and that applies to every fandom.
