Maybe Iâm just projecting but I get so angry on Essekâs behalf sometimes. Like, imagine youâve been living your life very much alone and very much with one goal in mind for a hundred odd years. Itâs a ship thatâs been building a very long time and just because Travis said he wouldnât ever rp romance doesnât mean he was forced into anything heâs not comfortable doing. Travis fucking initiated it you dummies.
Jester was the youngest party member but she wasnât a fucking child. Her innocent act is just that. Sheâs said before that sheâs a really good liar and most of it likely just a mask she puts up around other people. Even if it wasnât IT DOESNT MAKE HER A CHILD.
This had nothing to do with her aging and more to do with the knowledge that they had inadvertently put Jester in harms way and it could have very easily been much worse. Fjord states he wants to be able to live his life after everything and realized that this all really isnât a game and at any moment he could lose everything...so if he feels something, he should act on it. So he did.
