We've joined a citizen petition to the Colorado Parks & Wildlife Commission calling for protections against the unregulated recreational shooting of prairie dogs on Colorado's public lands. Prairie dogs are a keystone species — over 120 other species depend on them — and their colonies are already under siege from plague and habitat loss. The CPW Commission has the authority to act. We're asking them to use it. → Read the petition: https://cpw.widen.net/s/cl9xslrhql/prairie-dogs_website
We're also bringing prairie dogs into the classroom. For just $50, you can help us reach an entire class of kids with hands-on education about why these little guys matter to Colorado's grasslands.
