Happy National Sibling Day!
Did you know prairie dogs live in tight-knit family groups called coteries? Litters can range from 3 to 8 pups (yes, EIGHT siblings!), and here's the wild part — they actually have built-in ways to recognize each other--their famous "kiss" greeting tells them who their family is!
Siblings care for each other by combing through each other's fur as social bonding and also to hunt for parasites like fleas. Would you do that for your sibling?
