Yellow Rice With Hearty Beef Stew
This meal reminds me so much of home ( Eastern Cape) but since no traveling is permitted we will have to remember home through this meal.
What you will need
2 Cups of rice
2 Big carrots
2 Potatoes
Beef stew
1/2 Green pepper
1/2 Onion
1 Tub of beef stock
2 Big bay leaves
1tsp Oregano
1 Chilies
1 Tbsp barbeque
1 Tsp turmeric
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Can of tomatoes
How to make Yellow Rice With Hearty Beef Stew
Cook the rice as instructed on the packet. Once rice is cooked fry onion and pepper in hot pan then add the rice and turmeric. Fry until the rice is yellow.
For the beef stew fry onion, chilies and garlic until soft then add in all your spices, beef stock and your meat. Fry until the meat is brown then add the can of tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix together and add 3 cups of water, once it starts to boil add in your vegetable's and cook on low heat for one and half an hour or until meat is tender.

If you do not have Turmeric substitute it with Rajah.
