A King's Queen Size Bed for my brother. Cast iron legs are from old brown stones. I filled them with concrete and a metal L bracket so I could attach the wood. Also traced out the shape of the legs which ended adding a nice joinery element to the piece for strength and aesthetics. The wood is 2.5" douglas fur planks. Didn't have any 80" long, so I tongue and grooved the pieces I had. Chose a cherry stain and a satin polyurethane finish.Â
