A bit about Astrid:

She wants to be an artist

She is curious about Strangerville.

Astrid grew up in Oasis Springs with her mother, father, and older brother Hector. Her parents are both big-time doctors. Her older brother is a successful lawyer. Astrid never wanted any of that but she played along when she was a child. She danced, she did sports, she went wherever her parents shipped her off too. Her family is one of the more wealthy in Oasis Springs. Old Money. A lot was expected of her. A lot that she did not want. She’s hidden a lot of who she truly is most of her life. She met Eleanor when she was 13 years old and everything changed. Eleanor has been the only exciting thing in her life since then. Iris finds Oasis Springs incredibly boring. She wants adventure. When Astrid’s parents found out that Astrid and Eleanor were dating, they freaked out. Having a gay daughter was not in their “perfect plan.” Either Astrid broke up with Eleanor, went into therapy, and married a nice rich boy or she would be disowned. That night, Iris packed all of her things into her beat-up car and left.  She didn’t need them. She was 17.

She wants to be friends with everyone!

She LOVES to dance

She is cheerful

She is outgoing

She has no idea about anything weird happening in Strangerville

Eleanor moved to Oasis Springs with her mother and father when she was 13 years old for her mother’s job. Her mother is a CEO and her father is a brain surgeon. Before they moved to Oasis Springs, they lived in Windenburg. Eleanor has three younger brothers- Dante, Alexis, and Mika.  Her family is a combination of old and new money and they are much more open than Iris’ family. Her family accepted her with open arms when she came out to them at 14. They also accepted Astrid when she showed up at their doorstep at 17 with nowhere else to go. Iris and Eleanor had been dating for 6 months at that point. There were some adjustments and some rules set in place but Astrid was allowed to move in.
