#Repost @jimleeart with @repostapp ・・・ Initial pencil rough for the cover to DK3 issue 5 featuring a climatic resolution at the end of the second act. Like all the covers for DK3, my variant covers are covering key moments from the initial two series The Dark Knight Returns and the Dark Knight Strikes Again. Anyone recognize this particular scene? You'll note on these series of covers I've tried to break the structure underneath the form to maximize the power of the shapes and exaggerate the cut of the silhouettes. This effect was part of the DK look that I just loved. It means depicting Batman as a massive slab of hunkering flesh and oversized proportions. #WIP #coverlayout #dccomics
