The gifts have been exchanged, the turkey has been eaten, and the women have washed most of the dishes and put the leftovers away.
Kyle: We have to go Mr. Bell.
Wesley: But you haven’t had dessert yet.
Kyle: I know. We’re having dessert at Martha’s family’s house.
Wesley: Oh, I see. Well let’s get a group photo real quick before you go. It will just take a few minutes.
Joey helps Wesley set up the shot.
Joey: I think we should pull out the couch and put the couples in the back and then have you, Mrs. Bell, and Comfort on the couch. I’ll stand to the side.
Comfort hears them and protests.
Comfort: I don’t want to be sitting down; I want to stand.
Joey: Okay, I’ll sit on the couch, and Comfort, you can stand to the side.
Wesley: That sounds reasonable. Let’s do that.
Joey and Manny pull out the couch, and Wesley starts directing people where to go.
Demoyn: Did you remember to turn it on? Last time, you didn’t remember to turn it on, and we were sitting here for 20 minutes.
Wesley: Yes, dear. I remembered to turn it on.
Demoyn: Did you take the lens cap off?
Wesley: This one doesn’t have a lens cap.
Demoyn: Are you sure? You won’t be able to get a picture with the lens cap on.
Wesley: Yes, dear. I’m sure.
Comfort: How should I stand? Should I face in or face out?
Comfort shifts back and forth, trying out different stances.
Vivian: Why don’t you just face the camera?
Comfort: Because if I’m at an angle, then I won’t look fat.
Vivian: Are you kidding me? You’re not going to look fat no matter what because you’re not fat. Just stand normally.
Comfort: I think I’ll face out.
Kyle: (through clenched teeth) Just keep smiling. We’re neeeever getting out of here.
Martha: I’m beginning to realize that.
Demoyn: Why didn’t Delilah come today?
Joey: I’m not going out with Delilah anymore. I’m dating Irene.
Demoyn: (matter-of-factly) Why does that not surprise me? Why didn’t Irene come today?
Joey: Because she’s out of town visiting her relatives for the holidays.
Wesley: Okay, everybody smile and act like you like each other.
Wesley finishes adjusting the shot, sets the timer, and hurries to his spot on the couch. The timer goes off, and the camera snaps a photo.
