It's late and I have a lot of feelings.
For so long I have done my best to defend Ryan Murphy. And now this.
This guy brought us the show that has changed thousands of lives and affected thousands of people. I will forever be in debt to him for that and I have always defended the writers in bad times because I know things get cut and scenes get changed when they don't want to make changes. I've always given them credit for it.
So when Ryan starts spouting off this fucked up bullshit about Klaine and Brittana, I am not exactly impressed. He says the fans wanting 'nude make-out scenes' only want this because every Glee fan is a gay boy or lesbian girl looking for a TV role model. What about the large portion of the fandom which this doesn't apply to? You can be emotionally invested in a couple without having to relate to them, Ryan!
I'm not a gay teenage boy yet my love of Klaine is looked down on because I don't fall into this category? Apparently the only thing I want from their relationship is passionate sex or something.
SERIOUSLY? DO THESE WRITERS NOT GET IT?
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! THIS FANDOM GETS EXCITED OVER A FREAKING SHARED GLANCE BETWEEN THE GAY COUPLES. That's not right. Why should fans have to sit through bullshit Finchel and (I hate to say it because I really do ship it) Faberry scenes, whilst our OTPs get ignored or cut completely?
We aren't asking to be sold 'sex' here. We're not even asking for a show takeover. All we want is an equal share of screen time for EVERY cannon couple on this show. I'm not even saying equal screen time for Hetero/Homo couples (erm hi Tike and Samcedes, where was your screen time this year?). I simply think this Finchel bullshit has to stop and that we give every other couple a chance in the spotlight, no matter what sexual orientation they are or the distance separating them next season.
