N bent his knees and leaned forward on the fronts of his feet, looking down at the small brunet. How curious. Would he not be hurting later? Getting closer to a sitting position, he spoke again.

To someone so small, the big world seemed even larger. The land stretched out before him for what seemed like forever, and although he wanted a break from the place, the foreign feel of the world made the boy want to sneak back into the castle. But ... going back might cause more trouble for him, fathe -- Ghetsis wouldn’t like it if he came and went whenever he pleased. He wanted a perfect king, he said, and the world would contaminate him. Cloud his vision. Honestly, N was a bit afraid to venture outside, because he believed him, however he wanted to see all of the pokemon outside. If there were people hurting them, someone had to save them, right? Before they got hurt. 

He could do this. All that he had to do was be careful, try to behave as he was told, and he could keep himself out of trouble. Most of all, he just had to keep away from those trainers he was told about -- the ones causing the trouble. 

A step was taken hesitantly, then another, and before he knew it, he was rushing off, doing his best to ignore the feeling in his feet. They were bare, as he was not supposed to leave without reason (if at all), and after wandering a decent distance the terrain had begin to cause his feet to swell up.  

“Ow...”

He rose his hand.

TAP . . .  TAP . . .  TAP . . . 

                  He still hadn’t been able to give a sincere ‘thank you’ to that trainer, however, part of that reasoning was because he hadn’t realized the truth as well yet. Now -- now he knew. But, whenever he would visit the Ferris Wheel where they had met, he would never catch sight of a familiar face. Even now, when N looked, he only saw children and couples run through the crowd. Maybe it was foolish to even try to find Hilbert, but ... he was a bit of a fool, wasn’t he? Perhaps. Even so, he didn’t think his thinking was too strange. While this place may not be as important to the other as it was to him, if there was even the slightest chance that he could see him here again, he would remain. He would keep searching. 

The morning had already started out odd, something that instantly told Saki that it was going to be one long day. The Pokemon that dwelled within the forest were restless, acting up and even fighting with each other for one reason or another. Usually Ilex was a quiet and calm forest, mostly because of him being there so to see them all in such an uneasy state, there had to be something in the forest upsetting them.

With the form of the human it was a bit harder to get around but it also made talking to the trainers that passed through easier. He used the guise of being the forest ranger, a position he actually held in the human form, as the excuse for asking them if they saw something or someone out of place in the forest. Most had said no, one right after the other and making him question if he was being paranoid up until he reached the final person.

The boy had given his name as Hilbert, and happened to be the current Champion of Unova. Though he wasn't the Champion of Jhoto he was still willing to help Saki, something that really pleased the boy. His information of spotting someone strange in the forest was quite informative and with the new person at his side he lead the boy through the forest and toward where the Pokemon were guiding him to go.

He stopped, occasionally, to ask a few for help and tried to make it seem like he was talking as a normal trainer to the Pokemon, getting more directions on where the strange people went and after some more trekking through the forest—they had finally found the intruders that were causing the distress among his forest friends.

Oddly enough, despite all the new enemies that popped up and tried to wreck Saki's forest—the intruders this time were none other than Team Rocket. It wasn't the usually idiots that Celebi was used to seeing but instead some strangers with hair even weirder than the people with the talking Meowth.

For the time being he let Hilbert take over the fight, standing ever so slightly behind the man as he engaged the strangers in battle. The first woman wasn't very easy and with the added strength of her partner it was like watching an ever dripping faucet. He got the upper hand a few times but when the fight just kept wearing on eventually eventually Hilbert had to call his Pokemon back one at a time until eventually all he had left was one.

They used the time in between him switching the Pokemon out to cheat. The woman directed her Fire Pokemon at Hilbert himself and gave the order to attack. Where any normal Pokemon would have hesitated this one didn't, preparing himself for an all out direct attack. Honestly Saki didn't even think before he acted, the one thing that did pass through his mind being he couldn't let his friend get hurt.

He had grabbed the back of the others shirt and tossed him to the side, his arms raising to try and protect his face at least from taking some of the damage as the Fire Pokemon's attack him him directly. He might have been a Pokemon in reality but in the form of a human he was as vulnerable as the rest of them.

The force of the attacked made him lose control of the disguise reverting him back to the form of the little Forest Guardian and sent him flying to the ground. His body quivered as he laid there, trying a few times to get back up and make sure Hilbert was alright but every time he tried he simply fell back down into the grass.
