No seriously, you should try Dark Angel. It is both wonderful and horrible. Wonderful because the ladies are AWESOME, and the world building is cool, and BIKES!, and S2 has Jensen Ackles being sexier than the law should allow. And Max/Alec is now one of my favorite FAVORITE ships b/c she teaches him how to be human. But the writing is TERRIBLE. And Logan is TERRIBLE. But. Still recommend.

Dark Angel is terrible, but it had its heart in the right place; with genre TV, which so often doesn't, that counts for a lot. Also, I don't think any genre show since has beaten it in the cast diversity front. Notably, Original Cindy was the first queer PoC I personally saw on a genre show, and she's fucking awesome. On the other hand, worst will-they-or-won't-they main character romance everrrrr.

Snick, DA actually has a lot to like, but you have to have the right expectations and kind of pick and choose the eps, IMO… Jensen’s character(s) are worth watching but my favorites were actually the MC’s best friend and the Dog Man.
Duly noted! I was amused that I got so many vehement responses to that Jensen gifset. But honestly, if he's going to look like that, then I have to catch at least an episode or two sometime. :D
