The fun night took place on Saturday 21st June 2014 at the Cosmo Laounge and hosted its esteemed customers to a memorable event tagged “Glamour Night”. The event featured networking, great music and drinks, hot looking ladies and suave gents.

Museum Insel

Perfect for a rainy day in Berlin is the famous Museum Insel (Museum Island) in Berlin. It is home to Berlin’s most well known museums and is the best way to spend a rainy day in Berlin. Among the museums are the Deutsches Historisches Museum (German Historical Muesum), Altes Museum (Old Museum), and the Pergamon Museum. We highly recommend the German Historical Museum. More than 8,000 exclusive exhibits from the German Historical Museums’ collections are displayed over 8,000 square metres across four level. The permanent exhibition is supplemented by temporary special exhibitions housed in the modern exhibition building, which was designed by the Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei.

Get your umbrella ready (available for you at the reception desk!) and head out for some rainy day window shopping in Berlin away from the swarms of tourists. Make your way to Münzstraße in Mitte with its trendy stores or Bergmannstraße in Kreuzberg, lined with charming shops and cozy cafes. On Friedrichstraße check out Dussmann, a huge bookstore located on several floors. Also located on Friedrichstraße is Made in Berlin, a very cool second hand store that also sells new clothing as well. After picking out a book at Dussmann, make your way over to the Cosmo Lounge at baxpax Downtown.

After you have had enough of trekking around in the rain, come back to baxpax and hang out in the cozy Cosmo Lounge. Grab a beer or a warm drink to relax from the long day with your new book from Dussmann and enjoy the atmosphere while meeting fellow travellers and Berliners. You can also play pool or fussball. If you are hungry try the the original German salted Knuckle of pork (2,5 pounds) with Puré of peas and Sauerkraut. This will fill you up and make you become last man standing on this nights drinking contest. If doesn't fits in your diet plan they have salats and pasta as well. They host the offical FC Barcelona Supporters Club Berlin and show alle Barca (and of course other games) games on a huge screen. Every Thursday the have an international DJ playing.

Liquidrom

Get away from the rain for a bit and relax in the Liquidrom especially if it's cold outside and you've no money to travel to Israel or Jordan to take a hoop into the dead sea. FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 - Germany - 9th day

Germany has done it once again! Beating France 4-2 yesterday to win Group A, Germany is now moving on to the next round and is favored by many to win the whole tournament. They are next up against Japan on Saturday in Wolfsburg where they will be competing in their first match of the second round. Nigeria pulled out a last minute win yesterday against Canada, their first win in the World Cup since 1999. England and Japan also played hard on Tuesday but England ultimately won the match and scored enough points to come out on the top of Group B. The match between New Zealand and Mexico resulted in a draw and leaves the two teams in the bottom of Group B.

Today the Americans will take on Sweden in their last match of the first round. They are coming into the match with enough goal points already that all they need to move on to the quarter-finals is a draw. Colombia and Korea DPR will face off in a match in hopes of earning some points and going home with a positive attitude. Neither team has enough points already secured to move on to the quarter-finals. Brazil, already safely moving on to the next round, will play newcomer team Equitorial Guinea in their next match tonight. Lastly, Australia and Norway will take the field in hopes of moving ahead to the quarter-finals. Both teams are tied with 3 points and will need to really show their stuff today if they want to earn a spot in the next round.
