This game had been a joke wasn’t it? He hadn’t really thought that he was going to be shoved into a small closet with Syl to do whatever it was they were supposed to do in here. John had heard the main reason behind it. So he thought why not? Might be fun. So when he was shoved into the closet the first thing he needed to do was to pull Syl down a little. Of course he would get the tall one wouldn’t he? 

Pulling him down John pressed his lips to Syl’s just to see what he would do. He seemed a little confused by the action. Which wasn’t really what he had been looking for. 

It was actually kind of funny. Maybe later he’d have to try again. See if Syl was less confused about what he was doing. 

Syl broke away after a moment like it was finally catching up with him what had just happened and he had questions about it. He’d prefer them to be somewhere. Because being a half a foot shorter than someone was a bit annoying.

Growing up, pups were told stories of their soulmates. Of that one wolf that was out there in the world, waiting for them. That would brighten their world from its normal shades of grey into a burst of color that they couldn’t even begin to comprehend. Evie loved that story. There was something so magical about it - so Disney-esque. But she’d also seen love without that one-in-a-million soulmate spark. She’d seen what Thomas and her sister-in-law, Anna, had and, above all, that was what she wanted. That was what she was waiting for.

She never found it within the pack, and given the little interaction they had with other packs, she knew it would take time. She could wait - her longer lifespan allowed her that. Then, when she and Thomas left the pack post-attack, dating and falling in love was put on the back burner. All of her focus shifted to her mourning brother, to her twin who was just putting one foot in front of the other trying to survive. Survival also meant constantly moving, switching up whatever town or city they were in every few months, and working whatever jobs they had to in order to accommodate that.

Evie was on her way to one such job right now - waitressing at the local diner - deciding to take a detour through the park given that she still had a little time before her shift started. And that was when she saw him. Or, rather, first she heard him fall and get yelled at for it, and then she saw him. Her gaze met his and, given her heightened senses, for a moment, it was like she went blind. Color was... It was more than she’d ever imagined, better than anything that had ever been described, and... And then she realized - she smelled that the man in front of her, her soulmate was human. She’d never heard of that happening with a wolf before, she didn’t even think it was possible, but here he was... She finally found the person she was forever connected with, only to realize that ultimately she was a danger to him. And she just stood there, frozen in fear, for once unsure of what to say. Yolanda had been told to meet at the old headquarters for the JSA in an attempt to figure out who the rest of the ISA was. She was starting to like the moniker of Wildcat, after the convincing it took by Courtney and her parents ultimate rejection of her apology.
