why do you hate that scene so much? the one where azula and sokka both have their hair down
I kind of explained in further reblogs, not sure if you saw it, but it’s mainly because of how Zuko and the rest of the team have shown mercy to so many other characters, who weren’t related to any of them in any way, yet there’s no such thing for Azula. It’s not a matter of me excusing her actions, yes, she was out for blood on that scene, but it’s a matter of questioning our heroes’ morality. Book One Zuko tried to save Zhao’s life after the man had blown up his ship, and hadn’t Zhao been too proud to take Zuko’s hand, he probably would have succeeded. Why, then, is there no chance for him to extend a hand to his sister, of all people? Why could pre-redemption Zuko find mercy in his heart for someone like Zhao, but post-redemption Zuko cannot do the same for Azula?
I’ve seen some people who interpret the scene differently, they think Zuko’s first line (“She’s not gonna make it”) means he’s worried. But given his subsequent “Of course she did”, with that hint of frustration and disappontment to it, it’s very easy to conclude that he actually hoped she’d just fall. And given, as well, that his first instinct upon seeing his sister in the midst of her breakdown is “I’m going to fight her now because I’ve got a chance to win”, I really question that Zuko ever worried about his sister during the show.
… Anyways, that’s it, more or less.

Who cried when they brought their child home for the first time: well, since in this case we’re aware of who the kids in question are, it might make things a little easier xD I’m thinking Ursa might have cried with Zuko, but I figure neither did with Azula... *sniffs*
Who would wake up in the middle of the night to check on the kid(s): Probably Ursa, Ozai just wants to sleep.
Who changes the kid(s) diapers: Ursa would do it more often, but she’d try to make Ozai do it at some point. I’m suspecting she’s going to plot a way to force him to do it or else he’ll have to deal with Zuko or Azula screaming and crying all day long and he has no patience for that... Ozai didn’t know what sneaky woman he was getting for his wife, at all xD
Who makes the bottles: they might make them together, she bottles the milk, makes him heat it xD Ozai is a little grumpy about it, his extraordinary firebending being used for something as ordinary as this... he won’t dare say that, though, but Ursa can see it written all over his face.
Who stays up late at night to rock the kid(s) to sleep and sing them lullabys: Ursa most likely did this a lot with Zuko. I’m guessing Azula ran to her dad if she had trouble sleeping but he probably didn’t sing to her when that happened. He doesn’t strike me as a singer...
Who is guilty of spoiling the kid(s): as is known, Ursa with Zuko, Ozai with Azula.
Who would give the kid(s) cookies in the middle of the night: Ozai, but only to Azula x’DDDDD
Who always takes the kid(s) side: Ursa takes Zuko’s and Ozai takes Azula’s, this is practically canon.
Who would wake up early to make breakfast for the kid(s) before school: Ozai probably gets up early... and sends a servant to do it, of course xD
Who gets the kid(s) ready for school in the morning: I figure they each take care of their favorite kid, as per usual.
Who takes the kid(s) to school: hmmm... tbh they probably sent Azula on a carriage or the palanquin, so the royal guards? .___. I guess Ursa might accompany Zuko but he might have been sent to school the same way.
Who goes to parent teacher conferences: Ursa would, if need be. Ozai doesn’t get involved in that boring pointless nonsense, he has important stuff to do!
Who will be the first to suggest to have ‘the talk’ with the kid(s): it’s probably Ursa who suggests it. Ozai scoffs at the idea, they’re but kids! Especially when it comes to Azula, he’s not ready to have Ursa or anyone telling his daughter about sex, for crying out loud!
Who would choose their child(s) prom outfit: Ursa would probably be very involved with this, Ozai would want to have Azula go with a super badass epic dress befitting her rank... and doesn’t give a damn about what Zuko might wear xD but Azula must look EPIC!
Who would cry when the kid(s) go off to college: Ursa would cry with Zuko going to college, for sure. Might even cry over Azula going too. Ozai would do his best not to cry when Azula goes, but when Zuko goes he’s pretty much amazed that a university would accept his mediocre son... and then Ursa smacks him. He can’t be that mean, gdi!

No, my headbands are part of my body at this point. We share a bloodstream. It’d be like amputating a limb. I’d get phantom headband sensations. Also they make my hair look slightly less horrible in this really awkward stage of it growing back out. But mostly that first thing.
