If you've run out of content on Tumblr check YouTube comment sections. That's where the antikin have migrated to.
Thanks. Are there enough otherkin YouTube channels for them to have anything to do there?
Mostly we all just got bored with engaging in a battle of wits with unarmed opponents. I try to make sure we don't leave anyone hanging in the ask box but no one's actively looking for antikin anymore.

there was a tweet going around on twitter about how white people shouldn't kin asian dragons, and our system member, who IS an asian dragon and can't control what they identify as, seemed really confused and offended over it.
As he should be. Asian dragons are not Asian people, and as long as you don't conflate the two it's fine. Kintypes are involuntary. You can't just decide not to be what you are.

Are fictionkin valid? It seems they've been getting a lot of hate lately (from what I've seen anyway) and the argument that the anti-kins have is: "how can you be a fictional character? that's disrespectful to the creator(s), how do you think they'll feel that a d*lusional person like you thinks that you were a character [that they created] from the past life?" and it's like the only argument that they have lmao? but I want to hear your thoughts on this, and sorry if this has already been asked but I'm new to your blog.
Fictionkin are totally valid. Hell, things like dragonkin are just fictionkin from really old fiction.
Just because a thing doesn't exist in this world doesn't mean it doesn't exist at all. Who are we to say there can't be a world with Pokemon in it or whatever?

hi! i used to follow this blog back in the day and recently remembered it exists. honestly, the definition of kinning on the widespread/mainstream internet seems to have changed *a lot* since i was here last. i'm curious, what are your thoughts on the "new style" of kinning? from what i've seen, its mostly people calling themselves "x kinnie" (they've forgotten any other terms, i think) and meaning that they relate to a character an uncanny amount--things like kin memories, alternate canons, sourcemates, types of kin, etc seem to have been lost to them. not to say that the original community isnt still active (it clearly is), but that there's been a new one springing up on twitter and tumblr that doesnt take it as seriously and uses a different definition. i guess, as someone who was active in the otherkin community several years ago, and has also watched "kinnie" come into mainstream vocabulary with a changed meaning, i'm curious as to what the original community thinks of this?
I think they stole our terminology, kin is not a verb, and those people are treating our identity as a game and making a mockery of our community.

I used to be a kin ironically back in the olden days of Tumblr, but now that mental health has peaked aka my depression and anxiety, kinning does help a lot, keep up the good work.
You may have missed the point a bit. "Kinning" is not a word and you just provided the definition of a copinglinker. Which is fine, but the two terms are not synonymous.

Anti-kins are always against self-dx, but will call you schizophrenic for kinning...
It's because they're ableists and think that's an insult.
-Mod Corvid
im sorry to disturb you but what’s the meaning of anti-kin?
Anti-kin are people who build their identity around the idea of hating otherkin, and we built this blog around the idea of shutting that shit down.
