How can an individual learn to love themselves? Especially in a world where beauty from the inside is overlooked. Beauty is defined by having the right things on a female. Long hair, beautiful eyes, big ass, nice breasts and most of all a beautiful face. Why does beauty have to be defined by the outside? It isn’t my fault, I look like. I never asked to look like this. Self-love is important right? How come we don’t learn that in school. Instead we learn how to solve math, science, reading and English topics. We learn that everything needs to be done at a specific time. At school, we learn how much females want to drag other females down. We learn how men only want one thing from a female. But we never learn how love ourselves, and how to take care of ourselves. Health should always come first, not a piece of paper or a grade. We learn that grades are important instead of our mental health. Sleeping until 12 pm just to finish a project. Crying because too much homework along with problems at home. Missing breakfast, lunch, or dinner just to study for a test. They say “come speak to us, we’ll find a way to help”, is that even true? We learn that our mental health isn’t as important as a paper for school. School doesn’t show us the things we need for our lives. We don’t learn self-love, we aren’t perceived about mental illness. Instead we learn that mental illness isn’t a thing, and that things get better. What a cliché? “Things get better”, not if we don’t take a stand. Beauty, school, and money is more important than mental illness. It should never be that way but sadly it is. We all live in a corrupt world. A world where somebody’s health isn’t important to notice.
