I'm so curious, how does the pup-senior dynamic work at the school? Do seniors keep contact when they leave the school?
seniors do not keep contact after they leave!
omega heats are relatively mild and nonsexual from initial presentation to about 17ish, at which point heats become physically painful without some kind of aid. however, that's not exactly allowed for heimsmont omegas, so they get puppies instead!
a young enough pup will "trick" them into having a nonsexual heat, because they don't need a pup, they've got one right there! if we use max and nico as an example, max is 7 and nico is 19 when max is first brought into the academy. he's placed with nico (late bloomer as far as painful heats go). he stays with nico for a few years, and then when nico graduates, he and george are assigned together.
max and george live together until they start getting painful heats, and then they get kimi! and the cycle repeats. there's cohorts at varying stages of this cycle across the academy at any given moment.
