George Cassidy has never done what he's supposed to do, and it has always landed him right in the middle of trouble. And while most times his deadly charm and deadlier combat skills are enough to save him, this time seems different.

After murdering the wrong person, George finds himself in the crosshairs of TVA agent Bronwen, who cuts through his wit and incapacitates him faster than anyone ever has before. Right when he's starting to think that this might be the end for him, something goes wrong.

The glowing door she's about to drag him through vanishes, leaving the two stuck together in this new branching timeline with no way for Bronwen to get back home or even the slightest idea why the TVA isn't coming back for her.

[ Maureen + George's Past ]

Staff Sergeant Maureen Wallace, known by Rory to only her closest friends, has always dreamed of fighting for Queen and Country. This is in large part due to the influence of her father, Lieutenant General Stephen Wallace, and her childhood as a military brat. It was under his guidance that she enlisted at eighteen, becoming a Private so that she could work her way up through the Enlisted ranks. It was important to know what it's like to be under command before she was the command...at least, according to her father.

But Maureen and her father never anticipated the arrival of George Cassidy in her life when planning in her bright military career. And even if they had, there was no way the could have expected the role he'd play in Maureen's life.

Yoselin + Enzo cannot stand each other at first largely because Enzo sees her as an entitled princess raised in the lap of luxury, and Yoselin sees him as a brute who cares more about money than morals.

Yoselin runs her mouth and tries to piss Enzo off as much as possible (since she can't afford to piss off her father or fiancé), and Enzo grits his teeth and ignores it because he has to do the job for Malcolm.

There are a couple of traumatic events that the two go through together that helps them see the other's reality. After that, they feel very protective over each other which leads to romance.

Everything about George Cassidy is nsfw so read with caution:

Maureen has shot George exactly twice. Once in the calf because he was running away with military property and once in the shoulder because it was the first time she saw him since his dishonorable discharge and he said she was bluffing about shooting him. George has shot at Maureen a number of times, but he's never actually hit her. (Grazes don't count!)

The higher Maureen grew in rank, the more reluctant she was to pass along information to George. Of course, she can never turn down a challenge from him, and this has led to the time honored tradition of settling who will get their way by seeing who can make the other come first in bed. (This is one of the few competitions with George that Maureen has ever won.)

Maureen was engaged once...until George killed him. She doesn't know he was the one to do it, but she does learn after her fiancé's death that he was actually a spy for a foreign government and into her access not her personality. Look, she has a problem with believing all people are inherently good.

Maureen and George keep a running tally of how many times they've saved the other's ass by diverting a trail, giving information, or literally saving them. Maureen is currently up. George does not mind having her win this one.

Maureen & George have had their fair share of threesomes. It's not overly common, but it's difficult for her to turn down adding another attractive Aphrodite or Adonis Type to the bedroom.
