"Donald Trump looks increasingly likely to win the Republican nomination and he has the potential to not only lose decisively in November, but bring down his party with him too. Democrats have a solid chance to win the Senate regardless of Trump, because Republicans are defending 24 of the 34 seats up in 2016 after their 2010 wave, while some commentators have even begun debating whether Democrats could regain the House despite widespread Republican gerrymandering. However, Republicans are assured of maintaining their historic control over state governors across the country simply because the vast majority of those offices are not elected in presidential years"
Do not deceive yourself. Whether it’s Bernie or Hillary, neither will accomplished a f-ing think unless the pathogenic infection of right-wing conservatives, and fundamentalist christians are rooted out of office. With Karl Rove cleverness, they have embedded themselves at every level (local, state, and federal), and until this infestation is voted-out, whoever is president is irrelevant. Make no mistake, this will take years. If you do not vote, then it’s a vote for right-wing conservatives and fundamentalists, and it will take more years, or never happen.
By the way, do not even use the term evangelicals - they are Christian fundamentalists - the reason they hate the term which they used to love is because everyone started calling Islamic extremists fundamentalists. Hence, they know hate the term. So use it, it’s what they really are, plain and simple.
The point of the dailykos article is that only a couple of Republican governors are vulnerable this year.
