Halloween at Worlds of Fun
is so awesome. :D I've been going to WOF in Kansas City since I was a kid, and if it weren't for their Halloween Haunt, I probably wouldn't go anymore. One can only ride the same roller-coasters so many times before one gets bored, or gains a headache. If you go on an October weekend and wait until dark, though, it's a whole different story! So many haunted houses, so little time! I managed to hit up Asylum Island, London Terror, Master McCarthy's Doll Factory, Lore of the Vampire/Club Blood, and Cornstalkers before the park closed, plus the Fright Zone, which is more of an entire area, and Overlord's Awakening, which is an event. I was the explorer of my little party of friends; I always went in front, setting the pace and finding the path, sometimes with my hands alone because the fog was so thick i couldn't see anything but white and strobe lights. Of the haunts we visited, the hands-down-best was Asylum Island. If you have the opportunity to go, you should definitely check that one out! I also enjoyed Cornstalkers, but that may have been because a party of teenage girls latched on to me for that one, and they were hilariously scared of everything. :D Last of note was Club Blood, simply because of the pole-dancer dude. Sir, you are skinny as a rail, flexible, and hot as fuck. If I'd had the time I would have gone through that line once more just to see you writhe again. Hot. Damn. Oh, and to the dude with the real chainsaw who kept hiding in front of the fog machine, or the person dressed as a monkey who was constantly sneaking up behind people and crashing a pair of cymbals? You are so awesome and I want your jobs. So anyway! Yeah. I had an awesome and exhausting Saturday. Very... inspirational. :P It's writing time!
