So a while back I was telling Captain Rogers about Kansas.

That is what is lurking in the fields. It is a freak of nature that no man should witness, an eldrich being that should not be, a thing so powerful and terrifying that to look on it is to induce madness.

The picture you saw is merely a shadow of its true form. The Cornsona that lurks in the fields is more wrong, more unreal, more horrible than the human mind can comprehend.

Do not go into the fields, Corn Child. You may be protected from the razor leaves, the sinking sod, the whipping tassels.

But even you are not protected from It.

So... *manages to come up with a chair of wheat* The thing you need to remember is that while romance is nice for some people, you don’t need it to be a complete person. And romance is super hard--even I have to work for it. 

But there is a lot more to the world than romance. There are wonderful friendships full of laughter, and there are flowers to pick just for yourself, and there’s bread to eat that’s all warm and buttery. There’s music about everything, and books to read and so many new things to learn! You can become anything, with or without a partner!

And those bad experiences hurt. They really do. But they also tell you what not to do, and hopefully you come out stronger.
