Cork Stone and Nine Ladies | Guardians of the Dawn
At sunrise, I stood before the Cork Stone, a gritstone outcrop near Stanton Moor. Though not a circle itself, it’s spiritually linked to the Nine Ladies stone circle nearby.
Folklore speaks of nine women turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath. I meditated here using the SLIDE sound practice, letting birdsong and wind become the object of awareness.
The circle felt alive with stillness.
