Look honestly I donāt really mind that Rafael and Jane were always endgame or meant to be or soulmates, whatever. Heās the father of her child, thatās fine.
What isnāt fine is how the writers went about it. It was so unnecessary to bring Michael back and use him as a stepping stool for Jane and Rafaelās relationship. There are so many other routes the writers could have taken to get Jane and Rafael together but instead, they chose to shit on Michael and his relationship with Jane. Iām seriously so over this show, that was such bad writing.
JTV RANT WHOOPS
Iām sorry but I gotta rant about the newest JTV episode and what a mess of inconsistencies it was. One episode ago, one episode ago, Michael literally read the book Jane wrote about their love story and wrote in notes on practically every page on his thoughts while reading. Because he loves her and supports her dreams and is the sappiest sap to ever live.
Next episode they actually have the nerve for Michael to suddenly do a 180 and be like ābit sappy and cheesy LOL š¤Ŗā when Jane talks about cute memories they have. Iām sorry, wHAT?! How does that make sense???? (Spoiler alert: it doesnāt.) He was so out of character this whole episode, constantly laughing at Jane for talking about their relationship and hurting her feelings. I get that heāll be a bit different because now heās essentially fused with Jasonās personality but heās still Michael for gods sake. And you canāt have him act one way one episode and then completely change the next - itās just bad writing.

The only reason I can think of for this was the writers were afraid of how easily Jane and Michael were coming back together, because yeah theyāre best friends as well as soulmates. But due to TeamR*fael apparently being more popular, why I will never fucking know, they chose J*fael for endgame and needed to find a way to push Michael out of the picture. Naturally, this would never happen but ofc lets make him completely out of character and make Jane not love him anymore tHaTs NoT fOrcEd At AlL!!
