Hi, I have a small questions, can you recommend a few styles of hanfu that is more convenient for everyday wear? Thank you :)
Hi! Thanks for the question, and sorry for taking ages to reply! (hanfu photo via 金马鬼)
Sure, I can recommend a few styles of hanfu that are more convenient for everyday wear. I'll use the products on Nuwa Hanfu as examples, since those are readily obtainable if you're interested.
If you intend to purchase hanfu for everyday wear, it's better to get outfits with separates that can be mixed and matched with other hanfu pieces and also with non-hanfu garments for greater variety.
Based on my experience wearing different types of hanfu, one of the most convenient styles for everyday wear is the Tang dynasty-style "ru/shan + Tangbeizi/banbi + qun (skirt)" combination. This particular style is great for daily wear because it has narrow sleeves, is easy to move around in, and is comprised of separates that you can freely mix and match with other pieces (1/2):
The Tang dynasty-style "yuanlingpao (round-collar robe) + ku (pants)" combination is also good for daily wear. It has narrow sleeves and a loose, relaxed fit, and the robe and pants can be easily paired with other pieces (1/2):
The Song dynasty-style "shan/beizi (jacket) + moxiong + qun/ku" combination is simple but elegant, and works in both the workplace and the street. Instead of a traditional moxiong, you can wear a modern tank top with straps for convenience. Plus, the jacket is super easy to layer with other pieces (1/2):
Simple versions of Ming dynasty hanfu are also great for everyday wear. The Ming silhouette is generally roomier and more forgiving body-wise compared to other styles. Also, Ming tops traditionally aren't tucked into the skirt, so you don't need to worry about it coming untucked when moving around. The photo at the top of this post depicts a Ming-style chang ao paired with a frilly skirt and belt (1/2):

Update -- @here-be-ninjas asked "Thanks for those tips on modern style hanfu. I enjoyed looking at the various styles. I’m curious, are there also such options for men’s wear?"
Yes, there are also such options for men's wear and unisex wear (again, using examples from Nuwa Hanfu).
Generally speaking, men's hanfu is more convenient for everyday wear than women's hanfu, as there is overall less tucking, layering, and pieces involved. Men's historical commoner wear is especially convenient, as it typically involves a simple, narrow-sleeve cross-collar top and pants to allow for physically intensive tasks like farming. These pieces are easy to layer and mix and match (1/2/3/4):
For a more modernized version of the top+pants combo, many hanfu shops offer modified men's hanfu sets made with matching colors and comfortable materials. The ones below work great as casual wear and loungewear (1/2):
The yuanlingpao (round-collar robe) is an iconic piece of hanfu menswear, and can be easily worn over pants and/or opened as a jacket for daily wear (1/2):
Formal men's hanfu can be a bit more tricky to incorporate into everyday wear since it typically involves larger sleeves, longer hems, and more fabric in general. However, many hanfu shops do offer modified versions in modern designs and comfortable material that can be worn casually, like the Ming dynasty-style outfits below (1/2):
Hope this helps! ^^
