i was there for november 14th 2019 and ive been here since then for mark and ethan and the emotions im feeling in this room rn are a lot.

So you know cicadas right? Well did you know that they turn into something called a nymph? Once they become a nymph they go off to live in a tree. I’m shook that something called a nymph that lives in trees actually exists. But then I thought... hey, the Lorax lived in a tree... is he a nymph? But nymphs only get one tree that they bond too... so why is he the sole protector of all the trees?? Aren’t there other nymphs?? Then I thought, what if there were other nymphs. Back when the world was old, but not so old as it is today, and life and trees were new and the gods still ruled the earth. What if before the nymphs had a chance to bond with their destined trees and for as long as those trees stood, they (the nymphs) did something to anger the gods? Specifically Zeus. So he decided to smite them all. But... he missed one. One of the Nymphs remained. So Zeus thought, “you shall be the sole provider for the trees. Repent for the sins of your fellow nymphs or die the Carer Of Trees.” So Lorax repent. He repented so well and for so long, built connections with the trees, did his best to do the job of thousands thrust upon one. But then, one of Zeus’ creatures came. Started to deface the Nymph legacy by cutting down all he had left of his brethren. He tried so hard to protect what he had cared for for so long. To save the last bit of hope of what the world could have been, had the nymph race not been all but destroyed. But eventually there were so many trees lost, with more falling every day. He knew that he could not save his past. He could no longer live in the safety of what could have been, what SHOULD have been. So before the last tree was cut, he told the human something. He told the human that he was leaving to join his own kind. The nymph race had Overstayed their welcome and it was time for him to leave. Before he did though, he gave the human a seed. “Do with this what you will, but I hope you choose to care for what I have left behind, to not destroy what all I have worked for.” And then he left. To join the others, who had arms wide open, like the branches of a tree that had been left to grow.
