– Giraffe Necked Weevil – So I'm walking along with my boy when I happen upon a giraffe necked weevil. I take a couple of photos and my son says, "What's that?!" I point my finger at it and say, "I think it's some kind of giraffe necked weevil." As i'm pointing at it the little weevil just up and flies onto my finger tip. My son and I exchange glances and we start laughing. Only having one hand now, and perhaps limited time, to adjust the settings on my camera I quickly fire off two shots without changing anything, hence the noise in the image. Once the little giraffe flew off I looked up and there was another one with a neck 2-3 times the length of the other one! However, as soon as I took a shot it flew off and I only got a blurred image. Turns out that chances are that was a male and the one in this image a female. Hopefully now that I know where they are I can go back and try get some better shot of them. :) ID: Trachelophorus sp.
