Are there any submissions that caught you off guard on fitting the earthling alien duo
Amethyst and Peridot were the first duo that caught me off guard as a possible submission, but thinking it over led me to conclude that I like the technicality of it and is funny enough for it to get a pass from me!
Other ones that caught me off guard are ones where it becomes clear that there's a lot more going on in a show than I assumed as an outsider to its fandom (Sailor Moon is a reincarnation??? HUH?), or a story that I dropped some time ago developed in a way that I didn't know about (Gee, Raph TMNT 2012, how come the showrunners let you have a cool alien girlfriend??)
Other than that, there's a few duos that I didn't expect to get submitted, but was pleasantly surprised to see them show up (Hal and Kilowog, my beloveds, how nice to see you :] )
