А вот намучался я с неработоспособностью отладчика в CooCox IDE... И мне коллега подсказал. Смотрим сюда...

В CooCox printf и прочие функции stdio.h работают.

Но. Для этого надо подключить к проекту файлик printf.c (в репозитории оно есть). Далее в printf.c вставить заглушку следующего типа :
