“I don’t know what you want me to say,” June spoke softly, looking down at her lap. Hands fidgeting in her lap, silence fell over them like a heavy blanket. “I gave up on waiting for you to come back.” The blonde didn’t dare look up at the other. Afraid that her heart would break all over again if she looked in their eyes. Her hands trembled in her lap. “The more time passed, the more I figured you weren’t coming back at all.” Part of her had even begun to worry if they were even still alive.
