There was something that had been bothering Greta since the capture of the Fae, the whole encounter, as far as she could tell from the report, had been quite sloppy. There was a great deal that the recovery team had not brought back and Greta was beginning to get the feeling that if she wanted something done right, she would need to do it herself.
That was when she had decided to have David assemble a team to take her to the place where the attack had occurred. Hans would have no interest in resources that weren’t still living and he couldn’t torture, his fascinations, however obscure, kept him well enough out of her path. Greta was a scientist, certainly, but she had gone to medical school and was a doctor first. She knew that in the hours lost since the capture of the fae, many of the samples they could have gathered would no longer be viable.
Further fumbling would only damage their integrity further and that was something Greta would not allow.
“Park.” Greta greeted the Head of their security with a tone that almost resembled fondness, if Arain was a chessboard and she the Queen, then David was most certainly her Knight while few others were little more than pawns. They stood in front of the great iron gates, she hadn’t stepped into the woods since the eclipse, Greta would be lying if she said that she wasn’t a little nervous - even though she’d never let it show.
