Got a CT and MRI scan scheduled for next tuesday.
(Why would I need a MRI unless my doc thinks the cancer's spread? Arrrgh, paranoia's not fun.)
Anyway, it'll be a new experience, because I've never had an MRI! Not looking forward to the CT scan - mostly due to the contrast injection.
Basically, during a CT scan, they put a cannula in your hand in order to inject some contrast solution in mid-way through the scan. It's supposed to highlight certain areas of your insides, I think.
However, one of the side-effects of the injection, is that as soon as they inject it, it feels like you've peed yourself. You don't actually, but you get the same sensation. It's bizarre and... vaguely horrifying.
